Richard C. Dunne, President & CEO

Richard's professional career spans more than 30 years in both the public and private sectors. He has more than 20 years of global business experience in hedge fund investments, financial derivative products, aircraft leasing, asset repackaging and securitization, with particular emphasis on risk management and new product development.

Richard has been fortunate to work at three of the leading companies in their respective industries, where he gained a deep understanding of the mathematical, legal, accounting, taxation and operational issues surrounding the creation and management of highly sophisticated financial products and investment strategies. He has also gained strategic planning and operational management experience by establishing and growing a number of new global businesses for the institutions where he has worked.

He started his professional career as a civil servant in Ireland, where his experience included auditing the office of the Collector General of Taxes, contributing to the administration of national aviation policy, working as Press and Information Officer for the Department of Transport and as chief-of-staff to the government minister responsible for transportation, telecommunications, satellite and postal services in Ireland.

Subsequently Richard worked with GPA Group plc, the global aircraft trading, leasing and financing company and with AIG Financial Products, a member of the American International Group specializing in the structuring and trading of complex financial derivatives. Immediately prior to founding Bdellium he was a member of the management committee of the Deutsche Bank group in Japan and a Managing Director with global responsibility for the structuring and marketing of alternative investment products.

Richard holds a first class honors degree in Economics and Econometrics from the National University of Ireland, University College Dublin. He has also been awarded multiple academic scholarships and prizes in Ireland and is a graduate of the EU's eighteen month Executive Training Program in Japan.
